Wasabi won't be able to go on her normal adventures until she's completely healthy again. So for about 2 weeks, I'll be making mini comics of Wasabi instead of her normal long~ adventures with her friends.
I took my corgi to the vet for allergy medication today, but found out she has a lower urinary tract infection. I'm glad my vet told me, or I would have not known.
A lower urinary tract infection is common in female dogs and it's caused by bacteria in the bladder or urethra (the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body). If left untreated, it can cause stones to build up in the bladder or make the bacteria spread to the kidneys and other organs!
Read more of the blog to see if your dog has any of the following symptoms.
If your dog has any of these symptoms take your pet to the vet!
• Frequent urination
• Straining or difficulty urinating
• Blood in the urine
• Foul smelling urine
• Urination in inappropriate places
• Tender lower abdomen (in the area of the bladder)
• Fever
• Lethargy
I found my welsh corgi grooming herself frequently and I thought that was normal, but the vet took her urine sample, and found her Ph levels to be extremely high! Wasabi's vet put her on antibiotics so she should be ok in a week or two.
